This is a bespoke product for those customers who already own the awesome COBB Accessport V3. We will supply our renowned MSD calibrations as a stand alone purchase via e-mail for self installation onto your vehicle which we can then tune remotely via datalogging should you wish. All our E-Tunes come with a number of built in E-tunes for instant custom tuning.

    Calibrators note:

    These tunes do not use the COBB OTS calibrations as a base. Being an Ecoboost specialist since Ford first launched the platform, we ported our own MSD base strategies over to the COBB platform in order to utilise their enhanced features and the awesome Accessport. All our E-Tunes are based on our own tried and tested strategies and will drive identically to our non COBB platform tunes retaining our renowned factory drivability at all throttle angles.

  • Driving Enhancements

    All of our Accessport MSD calibrations come with the following awesome feature's enabled:

    Custom tuning for all, remotely! 

    Using the awesome data logging capabilities of the Accessport, we invite you to send us datalogs via E-mail so that we can custom tune your purchased calibration to better suit your own, individual vehicle. After log analysis, we will send you a further optimised tune that is based on feedback from your own vehicle. This feature comes standard with all our tunes for those owners who wish to get involved in some customisation but don't worry, you can enjoy the product forever without getting involved in custom tuning should you wish to.

    All our calibrations come with full printed instructions further detailing the above features and how to do the datalogging for your custom tuning and the first couple of revisions are included in your purchase price. (We normally only need the two...)


    Return to standard tune yourself. (FOC)
    The Accessport enables you to return the original ECU calibration back to the vehicle at the click of a button. Selecting "Uninstall Accessport" will remove any tune applied by it and return the vehicle to its original tune and place your custom tune back on the Accessport, leaving it in an as new condition ready to be sold on. This can be done yourself at home with no tuner input required.


    Flat foot shifting: (FOC)
    Enabled on all our calibrations, this features allows the accelerator pedal to stay fully depressed while shifting gears. The use of the clutch pedal will still be necessary, but keeping the accelerator pedal fully depressed between shifts allows for the turbo to stay spooled between gears, so you can concentrate on the fastest gear-shift and let MSD take care of the engine speed.


    No hassle launch control: (FOC)
    With our calibrations the process of getting into launch mode is simply having the clutch pedal and accelerator pedal depressed fully. The engine speed will quickly raise to the determined RPM set in the calibration file. (Adjustable on request)


    5-way launch control set-points: (FOC)
    This feature enables users to switch between 5 different launch control set points on the fly. You can use the factory cruise control system to switch between different set points. Our calibrations usually have 5 set points enabled from 4500rpm in slot 1 to 5500rpm in slot 5. (Slot choice varies due to other features)


    Burnout Mode: (FOC)

    This feature enables users to perform a nice controlled burnout with a simple button press on the steering wheel. Just hit the button and mash your foot to the floor for an ECU controlled flat foot burnout.


    MSD-Trac / COBB Traction control:

    COBB Traction Control is a custom feature available only with the Accessport. It doesn't involve any extra sensors, installation, or hard part changes. This makes it easy to improve road course or straight line track times on completely stock EcoBoosts, highly modified race cars, or any other supported Ford in between. Essentially, if your wheels are uncontrollably spinning at any time during any race, this feature can help, and when bought from MSD it has a few of our own enhancements added too.


    Eco Shift light disable. (Optional & FOC)
    Some people really dislike the Ecoboost economy shift lights and would like them disabled.
    Just say the word and they are turned out forever! But the Performance shift lights remain and are improved upon! Disabling this will automatically enable the MSD peak performance shift light. (See below)


    MSD peak performance shift up light. (FOC)
    If the Eco Shift light is disabled we will utilise the shift up light with enhanced programming to now indicate the optimal performance gear up-shift point. The rev limiter warning light will remain active later in the rev range as normal. (Eco up-shift lights must be disabled for this feature to work)


    Start / Stop system disable. (Optional & FOC)
    Some people turn the start stop system off as the first thing they do when they get in the car.
    Just say the word and we will disable it permanently for you, but leave you the option to re-enable it in your Accessport.


    Shift Assist disable. (Optional & FOC)
    Ford installed a shift assist strategy that hangs the throttle momentarily on gear shifts, which is designed to help the gearbox sync a little better for some drivers. Many owners really dislike it and wish it didn't do it. Just say the word and its gone.


    Diagnostic and data-logging capability: (FOC)
    Don't forget, the Accessport gives you the ability to diagnose management faults properly. Entering the diagnostics section of the handset will allow you to retrieve the full range of Ford fault codes. (Not just generic P-Codes like a cheap eBay reader) The icing on the cake is its high speed data-logger, allowing you to display and log over 200 engine parameters. This is the feature that unlocks the custom E-Tuning capability! Please see the Accessport tab for more details


    MSD Custom tuning, remotely! (FOC)
    Using the awesome data logging capabilities of the Accessport, we invite you to send us data-logs via E-mail so that we can custom tune your purchased calibration to better suit your own, individual vehicle. After log analysis, we will send you a further optimised tune that is based of feedback from your own vehicle. This feature comes standard with all our tunes for those owners who wish to get involved in some customisation and two revisions come free of charge with every MSD Tune. But don't worry, you can enjoy the product forever without getting involved in custom tuning should you wish to.

  • Hardware Requirements

    MSD280. (465NM / 280PS)

    This calibration works perfectly on a totally standard car and lifts the power restrictions from within the ECU, further enhancing the power output by 120NM and 30PS to 465NM and 280PS. The factory rev limit and all the temperature protection features of the management system are retained, whilst the relevant fuel, spark and load tables are further optimised to achieve this new power output.


    Additional hardware needed:

    • None.


     

    MSD300. (500+NM / 300 PS)

    This is as far as the standard turbo will allow you to go. Lifting the power up even further from our MSD 280 spec to new figures of around 500NM and 300PS. The factory rev limit and all the temperature, pressure and load protection features of the management system are still retained, whilst the relevant fuel, spark and load tables are further optimised to achieve this new power output.

    This calibration needs some airflow upgrades and its final power output will be determined by the condition of your factory engine and turbocharger as this tune takes the factory airflow capabilities to the limit...


    Additional hardware needed: 

    • Uprated Intercooler with shutter grills removed.
    • 3 Full Exhaust System with Sports cat
    • High flow air filter recommended.
    • Denso ITV-22 or NGK LTR7IX-11 Spark Plug

     


    MSD Multimaps: (MSD280 or MSD300)

    A firm favourite... This feature gives you up to three different power levels.
    Starting with a standard power slot (MSD250), then an MSD280 and if your hardware allows, and MSD300 too. All switchable from the cruise control buttons (Or the Accessport itself), even with the engine running. There is even a built in valet mode to limit RPM and boost when you leave the car for cleaning or servicing, as well as an immobiliser for peace of mind. You can even dictate which of those slots the vehicle loads up with when you first turn it on. We have you covered for all eventualities!

    MSD320 up to MSD400+ Multimaps

    For those looking for something a little more bespoke there are many more power levels available for suitably equipped cars (Forged engine and GTX2867R for example). These tunes can be done remotely but are outside the scope of a simple webshop form.

 Pro Alloy high performance intercooler includes;Full width design making the most of the available space behind the front bumper. Utilising the large opening in the bumper this cooler is 16.75% wider than the standard cooler and 100% taller. Supplied with a chassis mount kit - Our cooler does not hang off the water radiator. In our opinion the small plastic tabs on the radiator are not strong enough to hang a large alloy cooler from. Does not block the air flow to the water cooling radiator like some other aftermarket designs. Because our cooler utilises a thinner core than standard to aid the ambient air flow whilst increasing the internal flow capacity by 16%. Supplied complete with alloy ram air ducts to maximise the use of air flowing through bumper. Easy fitment with full fitting instructions included. By combining the proven performance benefits of our ground-breaking DV+ with atmosphere venting, the VTA delivers an aggressive blow-off sound, improved throttle response and boost recovery, as well as superior boost holding and reliability in extreme conditions.The factory diverter valve commonly found on these turbos has two distinct issues reliability, and performance. Oh yeah, it also doesnt make any noise. Heres how the VTA addresses these problems.Reliability There are two ways in which the factory diverter valve can fail; the un-reinforced rubber diaphragm can rupture, and the metal valve stem that slides in the plastic cap can stick. In both cases, there is a risk to the turbocharger, as the ECU will attempt to compensate for a boost leak by increasing the wastegate duty cycle, which increases the turbo RPM significantly.The VTA features CNC machined billet components that last a lifetime and cannot be damaged by high boost pressures or the associated increased charge temperatures.Performance The factory diverter valve typically operates in only two states either fully open, or fully closed. When it opens at low boost, or during a partial throttle lift mid-corner, it causes increased lag and a noticeably non-linear boost transition, which is noticeable as a distinct step down in power as you roll off the throttle and the valve opens.The VTA however allows the piston to open and close progressively in response to the amount of boost pressure present, so it only vents enough air to prevent compressor surge (the primary purpose of a diverter or blow off valve).
