The COBB Accessport really is a firm favourite here and not just because it means the end user can install their own calibrations at home, but because the handset transforms the vehicle by adding the option of up to six gauges on screen at any time out of a list of literally hundreds. It also gives you data-logging and diagnostic facilities for reading codes and resetting KAM etc. The Accessport comes with COBB's OTS tunes built in and ready to go. Just choose the one that suits your supporting mods and away you go.


But for us, the real power of Accessport comes when you also purchase an MSD Protune to go with it....
We utilise the power of Accessport fully to bring you our own tried and tested calibrations that not only retain factory driveability but also bring in some additional awesome features, including the optional MSD Multimaps, which brings the ability to swap between MSD power stages in seconds (EG: Swop between 250, 280 and 300PS, live with the engine still running) using just the vehicles cruise control buttons (See videos tab below) and we also build into every MSD protune a minimum of two custom E-tunes, this means that once you have installed the calibration and got used to the extra power, we will then custom tune your car for you remotely to get the most from your supporting mods and fuel, remotely via emails, at no extra charge!

  • Power Level / Hardware Requirements

    MSD280. (465NM / 280PS)

    This calibration works perfectly on a totally standard car and lifts the power restrictions from within the ECU, further enhancing the power output by 120NM and 30PS to 465NM and 280PS. The factory rev limit and all the temperature protection features of the management system are retained, whilst the relevant fuel, spark and load tables are further optimised to achieve this new power output.

    MSD300. (500+NM / 300 PS)

    This is as far as the standard turbo will allow you to go. Lifting the power up even further from our MSD 280 spec to new figures of around 500NM and 300PS. The factory rev limit and all the temperature protection features of the management system are still retained, whilst the relevant fuel, spark and load tables are further optimised to achieve this new power output. This calibration needs some airflow upgrades and its final power output will be determined by the condition of your factory engine and turbocharger as this tune takes the factory airflow capabilities to the limit...

    • Uprated Intercooler with shutter grills removed.
    • Full 3" performance exhaust with sports cat
    • One step colder spark plugs.

    MSD Multimaps: (Optional, at extra cost)

    A firm favourite... This feature gives you the above three different power levels available at any one time. Imagine having MSD 250 (Standard power with enhanced MSD driveability and all our features), MSD 280 and MSD 300, all switchable from the cruise control buttons, even with the engine running. Imagine also being able to dictate which of those power levels the vehicle loaded up with when you turn it on Well you can... Its called MSD Multimaps. (Anti-Theft and Valet modes also come with this tune in slots 4 and 5.)

    Calibrators note:

    These tunes do not use the COBB OTS calibrations as a base. Being an Ecoboost specialist since Ford first launched the platform, we ported our own MSD base strategies over to the COBB platform in order to utilise their enhanced features and the awesome Accessport. All our E-Tunes are based on our own tried and tested strategies and will drive identically to our non COBB platform tunes retaining our renowned factory drivability at all throttle angles.

  • Driving Enhancements

    All of our Accessport MSD calibrations come with the following awesome feature's enabled:

    Custom tuning for all, remotely! 

    Using the awesome data logging capabilities of the Accessport, we invite you to send us datalogs via E-mail so that we can custom tune your purchased calibration to better suit your own, individual vehicle. After log analysis, we will send you a further optimised tune that is based on feedback from your own vehicle. This feature comes standard with all our tunes for those owners who wish to get involved in some customisation but don't worry, you can enjoy the product forever without getting involved in custom tuning should you wish to.

    All our calibrations come with full printed instructions further detailing the above features and how to do the datalogging for your custom tuning and the first couple of revisions are included in your purchase price. (We normally only need the two...)


    Return to standard tune yourself. (FOC)
    The Accessport enables you to return the original ECU calibration back to the vehicle at the click of a button. Selecting "Uninstall Accessport" will remove any tune applied by it and return the vehicle to its original tune and place your custom tune back on the Accessport, leaving it in an as new condition ready to be sold on. This can be done yourself at home with no tuner input required.


    Flat foot shifting: (FOC)
    Enabled on all our calibrations, this features allows the accelerator pedal to stay fully depressed while shifting gears. The use of the clutch pedal will still be necessary, but keeping the accelerator pedal fully depressed between shifts allows for the turbo to stay spooled between gears, so you can concentrate on the fastest gear-shift and let MSD take care of the engine speed.


    No hassle launch control: (FOC)
    With our calibrations the process of getting into launch mode is simply having the clutch pedal and accelerator pedal depressed fully. The engine speed will quickly raise to the determined RPM set in the calibration file. (Adjustable on request)


    5-way launch control set-points: (FOC)
    This feature enables users to switch between 5 different launch control set points on the fly. You can use the factory cruise control system to switch between different set points. Our calibrations usually have 5 set points enabled from 4500rpm in slot 1 to 5500rpm in slot 5. (Slot choice varies due to other features)


    Burnout Mode: (FOC)

    This feature enables users to perform a nice controlled burnout with a simple button press on the steering wheel. Just hit the button and mash your foot to the floor for an ECU controlled flat foot burnout.


    MSD-Trac / COBB Traction control:

    COBB Traction Control is a custom feature available only with the Accessport. It doesn't involve any extra sensors, installation, or hard part changes. This makes it easy to improve road course or straight line track times on completely stock EcoBoosts, highly modified race cars, or any other supported Ford in between. Essentially, if your wheels are uncontrollably spinning at any time during any race, this feature can help, and when bought from MSD it has a few of our own enhancements added too.


    Eco Shift light disable. (Optional & FOC)
    Some people really dislike the Ecoboost economy shift lights and would like them disabled.
    Just say the word and they are turned out forever! But the Performance shift lights remain and are improved upon! Disabling this will automatically enable the MSD peak performance shift light. (See below)


    MSD peak performance shift up light. (FOC)
    If the Eco Shift light is disabled we will utilise the shift up light with enhanced programming to now indicate the optimal performance gear up-shift point. The rev limiter warning light will remain active later in the rev range as normal. (Eco up-shift lights must be disabled for this feature to work)


    Start / Stop system disable. (Optional & FOC)
    Some people turn the start stop system off as the first thing they do when they get in the car.
    Just say the word and we will disable it permanently for you, but leave you the option to re-enable it in your Accessport.


    Shift Assist disable. (Optional & FOC)
    Ford installed a shift assist strategy that hangs the throttle momentarily on gear shifts, which is designed to help the gearbox sync a little better for some drivers. Many owners really dislike it and wish it didn't do it. Just say the word and its gone.


    Diagnostic and data-logging capability: (FOC)
    Don't forget, the Accessport gives you the ability to diagnose management faults properly. Entering the diagnostics section of the handset will allow you to retrieve the full range of Ford fault codes. (Not just generic P-Codes like a cheap eBay reader) The icing on the cake is its high speed data-logger, allowing you to display and log over 200 engine parameters. This is the feature that unlocks the custom E-Tuning capability! Please see the Accessport tab for more details


    MSD Custom tuning, remotely! (FOC)
    Using the awesome data logging capabilities of the Accessport, we invite you to send us data-logs via E-mail so that we can custom tune your purchased calibration to better suit your own, individual vehicle.  Pro Alloy high performance intercooler includes;Full width design making the most of the available space behind the front bumper. Utilising the large opening in the bumper this cooler is 16.75% wider than the standard cooler and 100% taller. Supplied with a chassis mount kit - Our cooler does not hang off the water radiator. In our opinion the small plastic tabs on the radiator are not strong enough to hang a large alloy cooler from. Does not block the air flow to the water cooling radiator like some other aftermarket designs. By combining the proven performance benefits of our ground-breaking DV+ with atmosphere venting, the VTA delivers an aggressive blow-off sound, improved throttle response and boost recovery, as well as superior boost holding and reliability in extreme conditions.The factory diverter valve commonly found on these turbos has two distinct issues reliability, and performance. Oh yeah, it also doesnt make any noise. Heres how the VTA addresses these problems.Reliability There are two ways in which the factory diverter valve can fail; the un-reinforced rubber diaphragm can rupture, and the metal valve stem that slides in the plastic cap can stick. In both cases, there is a risk to the turbocharger, as the ECU will attempt to compensate for a boost leak by increasing the wastegate duty cycle, which increases the turbo RPM significantly.The VTA features CNC machined billet components that last a lifetime and cannot be damaged by high boost pressures or the associated increased charge temperatures.Performance The factory diverter valve typically operates in only two states either fully open, or fully closed. When it opens at low boost, or during a partial throttle lift mid-corner, it causes increased lag and a noticeably non-linear boost transition, which is noticeable as a distinct step down in power as you roll off the throttle and the valve opens.The VTA however allows the piston to open and close progressively in response to the amount of boost pressure present, so it only vents enough air to prevent compressor surge (the primary purpose of a diverter or blow off valve).
